Kampung Rambutan Terminal Requires Rapid Antigen Tests for Prospective Travelers

Those who are exposed to COVID-19 cannot continue their trip and must undergo a swab test at the nearest puskesmas

The Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal, East Jakarta, has begun mandating rapid antigen tests for prospective intercity and inter-provincial passengers, on Monday (12/21).

The officer will check the certificate of the antigen test results from the prospective passengers before boarding the bus. While for those who have not undergone the test are directed to the service post in the terminal lobby by costing by Rp 85,000 per person.

Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal Head Made Jhoni said, it would be applied until January 8. Its implementation involved medical team of the Ciracas Sub-district Puskesmas.

"Those who are exposed to COVID-19 cannot continue their trip and must undergo a swab test at the nearest puskesmas," he said.

Ciracas Sub-district Puskesmas Medical Team Officer Beny Pardede explained, every day there are seven medics on standby to provide health services for bus crew and potential passengers.

"The medical staff consists of doctors, nurses and ambulance drivers," he told.

In the meantime, Ridho Pratama, one of the prospective passengers for Palembang, South Sumatra admitted that he was greatly helped by the provision of a rapid test service post at the terminal as he did not have to bother doing tests elsewhere.

"Surely this is for the sake of safety and comfort together," he stated.
