1,005 Thousand Islands People Have Undergone COVID-19 Tests Along April-June

The COVID-19 test is done for those who have a record of going outside the island or having crossed the red zone

Since April until June, around 1,005 citizens have undergone COVID-19 rapid and swab tests held by the North Thousand Islands Sub-district Puskesmas.

North Thousand Islands Puskesmas Head Raden Ahmad Sigit said, from that number, 643 took rapid tests and 362 took swab tests. They were from Panggang Island, Harapan Island and Kelapa Island urban villages.

"The COVID-19 test is done for those who have a record of going outside the island or having crossed the red zone," he expressed, Tuesday (7/28).

Based on the test results, there had not been found any reactive or positive people exposed to COVID-19.

His party continued to urge them to adhere to health protocols by wearing a mask every time and do not conduct activities if they are not urgent.

"No positive case so far. Nevertheless similar action will be intensified in the future to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Thousand Islands," he stated.
