Jakarta to Close Ancol During Christmas and New Year Holidays

PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol is about to close the operational of the Ancol tourist area during Christmas on December 25, year-end on December and January 1.

All recreational units will be closed, such as Beach, Fantasy World, Sea World Ancol, Ocean Dream Samudra, Pasar Seni and Allianz Ecopark, as well as all rides and restaurant partners

It is in line with Governor's Instruction number 64/2020 on the Implementation of Community Activities Control in Preventing COVID-19 during Christmas and New Year Holidays and number 17/2020 on Control of Community Activities which is an extra anticipatory step in facing a holiday season that has the potential for exposure to the COVID-19.

"All recreational units will be closed, such as Beach, Fantasy World, Sea World Ancol, Ocean Dream Samudra, Pasar Seni and Allianz Ecopark, as well as all rides and restaurant partners," asserted PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol President Director, Teuku Sahir Syahali, Tuesday (12/22).

He hoped that residents could support this policy. "It is better for us to enjoy the Christmas and New Year holidays together at home to be safer and avoid the spread of COVID-19," he expressed.

Besides that, it was also based on the results of the meeting to discuss the Plan for Closing Crowded Places during Christmas and New Year which was chaired by City Secretary Sri Haryat accompanied by North Jakarta Mayor Sigit Wijatmoko, North Jakarta Government Assistant Abdul Khalit, North Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency Head Rahmat Kristanto, North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head Harlem Simanjuntak, and PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol President Director Teuku Sahir Syahali.

"Especially for the lodging services of Putri Duyung Resort, it is still operating by making a reservation in advance on the official website at www.ancol.com. We also still serve people who will cross to Thousand Islands via Marina Dermaga," he stated.
