Jakarta Holds Series of Virtual Simple Christmas Celebration

Jakarta Mental and Spiritual Education Bureau Head Muhammad Zein, says at this year's Christmas celebration, the Jakarta administration has a series of simple celebration activities with the theme "The Spirit of Christmas Celebration with Simplicity and Solidarity".

"To smoothen it, we will collaborate with communities and citizens. Despite it is held online, it is expect to still bring joy to all of us. The message that we always emphasize is that Jakarta belongs to all. Here is a series of Christmas celebrations in Jakarta:

1. Video screening with theme “Teaser Christmas in Jakarta” on videotron on December 20-23

2. Installation of a Christmas tree ± 12 meters high with 3-dimensional lights at Thamrin 10 (Christmas Tree at Thamrin 10) from December 23 to January 1

3. Virtual Christmas in Jakarta in the form of Christmas messages from the Governor, the Cardinal and the Pastor, as well as the virtual carol appearance from 7 points which will be broadcast on December 23 on the Youtube channel of the Jakarta administration

To facilitate, smooth and comply with health protocols, the administration issued City Secretary Instruction number 117/2020 on Support for a Series of Christmas Celebration Activities in 2020 During the Transitional PSBB Towards a Healthy, Safe and Productive Society involving 15 SKPDs, 5 BUMDs and collaborators.
