"Until this week, we have done up to 150 meters or 60 percent," she expressed, Wednesday (12/23).

She expressed it was aimed at overcoming the inundation that often occurs in the area around the rainy season.

"Before it is done, the channel was full of mud," she said.

She admitted, this work progressed slower than expected due to a number of constraints, such as many parts of the channel were covered and the downstream channel leading to the Pelepah connecting channel was still stuck.

"We will try to speed up the work. But if it is not finished, we will continue in January 2021," he stated.
