Slow Auction, Road Maintenance Not Maximum

Due to the slow process of the auction at the Jakarta Goods and Services Procurement Unit (ULP) Jakarta, eight road improvement projects with heavy maintenance or hot mix layer are jeopardized. The project will not run maximally with two months remaining.

Central Jakarta Head Section Road Maintenance of Public Work Department, Agustio Ruhuseto explained, from 16 project packages of road improvement and heavy maintenance, only 8 packages that can be processed this year. Then the rests will be proposed and re-entered in the 2015 Jakarta City Budget.

"E-catalog just announced as much as 8 packages. The budget absorption certainly just 50 percent this year, because the rests are still in administration process," said Ruhuseto, Thursday (10/30).

Ruhuseto added, another problem is about the rainy season which come soon. For that, his side still waits the readiness and the competence from the project package executive.

Agustio continued, the eight project packages that enter the contract stage such as, Jalan Teuku Umar, Jalan Subang, Jalan Cut Nyak Dien, Jalan Cempaka Putih Barat, Jalan Percetakan Negara 10/10A/10B/11, Jalan Tanah Abang II, Jalan Talang Ujung dan Jalan Gelora VII, VIII, IX, X.
