Like Tangerang, they wanted to build a Transjakarta bus lane's overpass until Ciledug, in which its fund can reach Rp 1.5 trillion. It doesn't matter for me as long as it could be useful to our city
As reported earlier, the Bekasi City Government requested financial assistance amounting to Rp 250 billion to Jakarta Provincial Government. Evidently, the same thing is also done by Tangerang City Government amounting to Rp 1.5 trillion and is planned to be used for constructing the Transjakarta bus lane’s overpass until Ciledug.
Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama disclosed Bekasi and Tangerang have proposed financial assistance to realize their work programs, like Tangerang by proposing the construction of Transjakarta lane’s overpass. The road connects with the Transjakarta bus lane’s overpass that will be built by Jakarta government.
Jakarta Provincial Assists Bekasi Government Rp 250 BillionThe amount of the fund proposed by both cities is not disputed by Basuki, as long as it used to solve two major problems in Jakarta, like flood and traffic congestion. "Like Tangerang, they wanted to build a Transjakarta bus lane's overpass until Ciledug, in which its fund can reach Rp 1.5 trillion. It doesn't matter for me as long as it could be useful to our city," he disclosed, at City Hall, Wednesday (10/29).
Such proposal was already included in the General Budget Policy (KUA) and the Surakarta Municipal Temporary Budget Ceiling and Priority (PPAS). This is due to the fund assistance must first go through council approval. In addition, each program should also be discussed by the regional working unit (SKPD).
"Coordination had been done when the KAU and PPAS was proposed. The signing is done by the council chairman and also involved the SKPD," he exclaimed.
Basuki also lamented the commission that has not been formed. Moreover, there should be a discussion between the SKPD with commissions to propose financial assistance. "But the SKPD must meet with the committee, while the commission not yet formed. Do we have to wait for a commission?," he said.
He expected the council could approve the proposed funding. "This is because the proposed program has benefits for the capital, either to anticipate flooding or congestion. If not, the proposal will be refused. Considering we have also to solve the problems in the city," he exclaimed.
Each year, Jakarta government is routinely allocating funds to the buffer zone. Even its amount would be increased next year in accordance with the program of work being done.
