51,891 Trees Prone to Fall in East Jakarta Have Been Pruned

Of the 51,891 trees, 4,561 are pruned in January, 4,091 are pruned in February, 3,340 are pruned in March, 3,777 are pruned in April, 3,278 are pruned in May, 3,244 are pruned in June, 4,747 are in July

The East Jakarta Parks and Urban Forestry Sub-agency has noted that around 51,891 trees have been pruned throughout January to December 2020.

Forestry and Green Lane Division Head Atang Setiawan stated, it was aimed to prevent fallen tree in the rainy season.

6,914 Trees in Central Jakarta Pruned

"Of the 51,891 trees, 4,561 are pruned in January, 4,091 are pruned in February, 3,340 are pruned in March, 3,777 are pruned in April, 3,278 are pruned in May, 3,244 are pruned in June, 4,747 are in July," he said, Wednesday (1/6).

Then 4,766 were pruned in August, 5,044 were pruned in September, 5,456 were in October, 5,544 were pruned in November and 4,043 were pruned in December.

To conduct pruning, 90 personnel deployed to the location every day. They were dispatched to ten sub-districts to monitor and prune trees.

"For trees that are tall and difficult to reach, we prepare one unit of ladder car," he stated.
