11 Illegal Buildings Under Railway Bridge Torn Down

We'll coordinate with PT KAI to monitor under the railway bridge

At least 11 illegal buildings stood atop the railway bridge on Jalan Penataran, Menteng Sub-district, Central Jakarta were dismantled by joint officers from Satpol PP, police, army and PPSU, on Monday (1/11).

Menteng Sub-district Head Edy Suryaman said so far the existence of those buildings were unknown as they were covered in zinc by the double double track (DDT) construction project.

"From the front, the location is closed by the double railway construction project," he told.

At the same location, officers also secured two people with social welfare issues (PMKS) under the railway bridge.

He explained this operation would be a routine agenda in order to prevent illegal buildings.

"We'll coordinate with PT KAI to monitor under the railway bridge," he told.
