Progress of JGC Side C Reservoir Dredging Work Touches 50 Percent

Dredging work on Side C Reservoir in Jakarta Garden City (JGC), Jl. Koridor BKT, RW 07, Cakung Timur, Cakung, East Jakarta, has reached 50 percent.

Its progress has reached 50 percent and it is targeted to finish in the next two months

East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency's Drainage Maintenance Section Head, Puryanto Palebangan stated, this reservoir dredging work which covers area about 22,030 square meters has been started on November 28, 2020 and targeted to complete in the next two months.

"Its progress has reached 50 percent and it is targeted to finish in the next two months," he said, Tuesday (1/12).

Next Week, Jakarta Garden City Side C Reservoir will Be Dredged

This reservoir, he informed, will have 2.5-3 meters deep. Currently, there are several points that already reached 1.5-2 meters deep.

For the dredging, his side deployed 11 heavy equipment from Jakarta SDA Agency's Alkal Unit with additional 1 big amphibious heavy equipment to clean water hyacinth.

His side also deployed 20 dump trucks to dispose excavated land to the East Flood Canal Sandtrep Area in Cakung and Ancol, North Jakarta.

"Side C Reservoir dredging work is carried out to overcome flood/inundation that occur on residential areas of RW 06, 07, and 08 Cakung Timur," he closed.
