PPSU and SDA Personnel Clean Debris from Collapsed Channel's Retaining Wall in Cipinang Muara

Today, 30 PPSU and Water Resources (SDA) Unit were deployed to clean up debris of Cipinang Muara 2 connecting (phb) channel's retaining wall at RT 09/15 Cipinang Muara, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, which collapsed on Sunday (1/24).

Jatinegara Sub-district SDA Unit Coordinator, Tamrizal explained, the retaining wall along 15 meters was crushed down by dividing wall of resident's parking area which collapsed due to heavy rain. Then the retaining wall debris clogged the connecting channel that has width 1.5 meters and depth 2.5 meters.

"We deploy PPSU and SDA Unit to clean the debris that clog the channel since it can cause inundation when the heavy rain falls," he said, Monday (1/25).

Channels and Infiltration Wells on Untung Jawa Island Cleaned

Personnel cleaned the channel manually using hoes and shovels. While the retaining wall will be repaired by resident who owns the parking area.

"The owner of parking area will repair retaining wall as well as install the dividing wall," he informed.
