Tanjung Barat and Lenteng Agung Flyovers will Undergo Trial to February 2

The Jakarta Bina Marga Agency conducts a public trial on Tanjung Barat and Lenteng Agung flyovers on January 31 - February 2.

After the trial, we'll reclose for evaluation and improvement in order to increase safety and comfort

Hari Nugroho, Head of Jakarta Bina Marga Agency disclosed the trial today started at 8 AM and would end at 9 PM. As for the upcoming Monday and Tuesday, it was slated at 6 AM to 9 PM.

"After the trial, we'll reclose for evaluation and improvement in order to increase safety and comfort," he expressed, Sunday (1/31).

He explained both flyovers were built to parse traffic jam caused by railway crossings and minimize accidents. It often occurred in the area due to the density of vehicles accompanied by the Jakarta-Bogor train schedule, which passed every three to five minutes.

"If they (flyover) are open for public permanently, the railway crossings will be demolished," he stressed.

As for the information, the Tanjung Barat Flyover has 1,120 meters length and the Lenteng Agung Flyover has 880 meters length. Both have about 8 meters width by 6.5 meters height with a horseshoe-like shape.
