Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of January 31

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of January 31.

The number of people tested last week has reached 120,716

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 17,450 specimens. 15,213 of them were to diagnose new cases with 3,474 positive and 11,739 negative results.

"The number of people tested last week has reached 120,716, while 250,290 people have undergone the swab tests," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Sunday (1/30).

Latest COVID-19 Information in Jakarta as of January 30, 2021

As for the number of active cases in Jakarta to date was 23,382 people who were undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or decreased to 213 cases. As for the total number of confirmed cases in Jakarta today was 269,718 cases. Of these cases, 242,069 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 89.7% and 4,267 people died with a death rate of 1.6%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.8%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 15.8%, while Indonesia was 10.1%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Amid PSBB, residents wanting to enter the Jakarta area were urged to carry out independent COVID-19 check-up through the JakCLM via JAKI app. In this app, they could find out the risk of COVID-19 and got various health recommendations according to the risks they have. This contribution would help the government to prevent the diseases in Jakarta.

Together with Satpol PP, the operation for residents who do not wear masks will also be intensified, including other PSBB violations. Hopefully, they can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in stopping the chain of COVID-19.

Here is the recap data of violations and prosecution compiled by Satpol PP in tightening the PSBB as of January 30, at 8 PM, as follows:

- Social Work = 588

- Fine = 30

B. Restaurant

- Fine = 0

- Temporary suspension of activities = 2

- Written warning = 18

- License Revocation = 0

- Zero violation = 118

- Total = 138

C. Workplaces, Business Places, Industrial Places

- Fine = 0

- Temporary suspension of activities for 3x24 hours = 0

- Written warning = 6

- License Revocation = 0

- Zero violation = 102

Total = 108

D. Value of Fines

- Individual = Rp 3,950.000

- Place of business to eat and drink/restaurant = Rp 0

- Workplace/Industrial = Rp 0

Amount = Rp 3,950,000
