Lenteng Agung Flyover Trial Runs Safely and Smoothly

With this flyover, jams can be cleared up

It is reported that the second day of a public trial on the operational of Lenteng Agung and Tanjung Barat flyovers runs safely and smoothly.

During the trial period which will last until Tuesday (2/2) tomorrow, vehicles from Pasar Minggu to Depok and vice versa can pa ss on the flyover from 6 AM to 9 PM.

Roni (36), a resident of Lenteng Agung who works in the Jalan Gatot Subroto area, admitted that the distance from the house to the office was becoming shorter. Moreover, he no longer had to pass the railway crossing in front of the IISIP Campus.

"Previously, if I took the railway crossing, I had to queue first as the train passed every five minutes. That's what triggers congestion. With this flyover, jams can be cleared up," he said to Beritajakarta.id, Monday (2/1).

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head Budi Setiawan explained, after the trial during three days, the flyover would be reclosed for evaluation stage.

"Tanjung Barat Flyover has 1,120 meters length, consisting of the south side (470 meters) and the north side (580 meters) with 8 meters width and 6.5 meters height.

As for the Lenteng Agung Flyover had 880 meters length, consisting of the west side (430 meters and the east side (450 meters).

"Please don't selfie there, this is to keep it safe during trial. We have alerted our men plus police at the location," he stated.
