425 Art Communities Have Been Registered at Cultural Agency

Jakarta Cultural Agency had collected data of all art studios/communities in Jakarta. There were total 425 active studios which divided into 7 art fields in Jakarta.

We are still open for registration

Jakarta Cultural Agency Head, Iwan Henry Wardhana stated, as many as 156 music communities, 99 dance communities, 78 martial arts communities, 54 theater communities, 24 fine arts communities, 12 literary arts communities, and 2 cinematographic communities.

"We are still open for registration. Community leaders can register their communities at website dinaskebudayaan.jakarta.go.id," he informed, Wednesday (2/3).

By collecting their data, he continued, it can make it easier for public to access information about art communities in Jakarta. besides, this information can be a tool to promote their communities and developing arts ecosystem.

"The purpose of this registration is to provide accurate and valid data concerning art communities in Jakarta and its classification," he mentioned.

According to him, each Cultural Sub-agencies in Jakarta has socialized about this registration to leaders of art communities in each regions.

Socialization was conducted by face-to-face with communities representatives by implementing health protocols. While registration was carried out online in Thousand Islands.

"We have socialized the registration to them. Cultural Agency also facilitates them by providing tutorial video for community registration that has been uploaded at Youtube channel Disbuddki," he closed.
