Police to Question More Witnesses in Collapsed Bridge Case

The investigation of the collapsed bridge at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) continues to roll. Thus far, the police have questioned 11 witnesses in a bid to find out the cause of the collapsed bridge.

Central Jakarta Resort Police Detective and Criminal Unit Chief AKBP Tatan Dirsan disclosed that his party has yet question BD, PT SA Director as the project contractor. It is scheduled that the police would summon the witnesses from the Jakarta Library and Archives Board today, Wednesday (11/5).

“We would question the witnesses from the Jakarta Library and Archives Board on Wednesday, and then question the project consultant and supervisor on Thursday (11/6),” stated Dirsan, Tuesday (11/4).

Police to Question TIM Connecting Bridge Contractor Today

Until now, the police have questioned 11 witnesses who consist of seven workers, two family members of deceased victims, and two project foremen.

As reported earlier, the bridge on the second floor of Jakarta Library and Archives Building at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Cikini Urban Village, Menteng Sub-District, Central Jakarta, collapsed on Friday (10/31) morning. Because of this incident, four workers died and five people injured because of falling debris. The casualties are Harno (40), Nur Ucup (38), Budi Utomo (25), and Arden (17), while the injured victims are Narno (46), Darwanto (31), Agung Astanto (24), and Kurniawan (18).
