80.09 Percent of Health Workers in Thousand Islands Have Received Second Dose

Around 173 health workers in Thousand Islands have already been given a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This is equivalent to 80.09 percent of the target of 216 health workers who will undergo the second dose.

There are still around 43 who will receive the vaccine

Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency Head Herwin Meifendi stated, 164 were vaccinated in health care facilities in Thousand Islands, while another nine elsewhere.

"There are still around 43 who will receive the vaccine. Only waiting for realization according to the instructions given 14 days after the first dose," she expressed, Tuesday (2/16).

He explained the Thousand Islands had 479 health workers. But only 216 were approved to get vaccine, because of provisions for COVID-19 survivors, illness, or pregnancy.

"We urge them to always implement health protocols, either when working or doing activities outside the home to accelerate the handling of COVID-19," he stated.
