160 Elderly in Cilandak Injected with COVID-19 Vaccines

First stage of COVID-19 vaccination was given to 160 elderly people in Cilandak Sub-district, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/23). This vaccination was carried out by Cilandak Health Center (Puskesmas) at SDN Cilandak Barat 04 Pagi, Komplek BNI 46, Cilandak Barat Urban Village.

For initial stage, we vaccinate 160 elderly people

Cilandak Health Center Head, Maryati said, it was the first stage of vaccination which given for elderly in five urban villages in Cilandak.

"For initial stage, we vaccinate 160 elderly people," she added.

She emphasized that vaccination was carried out by implementing strict health protocols. Her side deployed 15 health workers to serve elderly, start from registration, screening, injection, and post-injection observation.

After injection, she explained, elderly should not go home immediately, because health workers will observe their condition for at least 30 minutes to ensure their health condition.

"With vaccination, we hope elderly who are vulnerable and have risks of exposure can build immunity in their bodies," she conveyed.

Tunggono (74), resident of RT 01/03, Pondok Labu Urban Village, Cilandak, who was injected together with his wife Triyata (70) admitted that he didn't feel any side effects after vaccination. He was grateful that vaccination process went fast and smoothly.

"I hope it can break the chain of COVID-19 spread and pandemic can end as soon as possible," he stated.
