BMKG Warns of Rain and Strong Winds in South and East Jakarta

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted light-medium intensity rain will fall on Greater Jakarta on Wednesday (2/24).

Jakartans must be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning in South and East Jakarta in the afternoon until the evening

"Jakartans must be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning in South and East Jakarta in the afternoon until the evening," stated BMKG's official site.

In the afternoon, rain accompanied by lightning will hit West, South, and East Jakarta. Then light rain is forecast to occur in Central and North Jakarta, except in Thousand Islands.

Beware of Extreme Weather, Jakarta Continuously Accelerates Puddles and Floods Handling

In the evening, all regions will be cloudy. Then at tomorrow's dawn, rain with medium intensity will pour in West, Central and North Jakarta, including in Thousand Islands. Then bright cloudy is expected in South and East Jakarta.

Temperatures in five regions and Thousand Islands are predicted at 24 to 31 degrees Celsius with air humidity of 75-90 percent.
