Gerebek Lumpur was carried out with a good collaboration between residents and Central Jakarta Government.

"Activities which are completed according to the substance of problem give better impact according to the target," he mentioned.

He also encouraged Johar Baru residents to stop throwing garbage into Sentiong River since it could clog drains and cause flooding.

Cempaka Putih Sub-district Head, Nurhelmi Safitri mentioned, Sentiong River was dredged because the mud was very thick and caused silting.

"Silting can be reduced after dredging. Sentiong River now can hold more water," she said.
