Central Jakarta Mayor Urges Traders to Obey Health Protocols

Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma urges traders in the temporary shelters and traditional markets to adhere to large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) for the next two weeks to help flatten the curve of COVID-19 transmission.

"Please wear your mask, wash your hands and stay away from the crowd," he expressed, Friday (1/26).

He stated that compliance with traders in adhering to health protocols was the main key to not contracting COVID-19.

"This is what they often ignore when selling at temporary shelters or markets," he stressed.

Menteng Sub-district Vice Head Suprayogi explained it was done, as three traders in Nan Sabang, Menteng, tested positive for COVID-19 after they underwent a rapid test held by the Menteng Sub-district apparatus at the Sub-district Puskesmas, Jalan Sabang yesterday afternoon.

"Besides holding rapid test, disinfectant was sprayed at the location. Those traders are still undergoing a self-isolation," he closed.
