North Jakarta Holds Friday Cleaning Activity in Koja

North Jakarta Government collaborates with North Jakarta Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI), Koja Sub-district Easrly Awareness Forum (FKDM), and local residents to hold Jumat Bersih (Friday Cleaning) activity at Jami Ash-Sholihin Mosque, Tugu Utara Urban Village, Koja Sub-district, this Friday (2/26).

In this activity, North Jakarta Vice Mayor, Juaini Yusuf also reminded residents to improve health protocols in worship places to prevent COVID-19 transmission.

"Thank God, today we invite the community to clean Ash-Sholihin Mosque, starting from yard, inside of the mosque, prayer room, and toilet. This activity is one of our efforts to prevent COVID-19 transmission," he stated.

Dozens of Training Participants to Help Post-flood Handling

Through this activity, he expected all caretakers in worship places and local residents can emulate this cleaning activity including prioritizing health protocols in doing worship activity.

"Moreover, because it is still pandemic, we expect residents can take care of their health and implement 3M (wear mask, wash hands, maintain distance). Hopefully what we do now can reduce COVID-19 spread," he said.

DMI Chairperson, Suwardi conveyed, today's cleaning is a part of Friday Cleaning activity which involved various elements in society.

"Of course, we will intensify health protocols socialization to all mosque caretakers and communities to avoid COVID-19 transmission," he mentioned.

On the other hand, Iwan Sulaiman, Head of Koja Sub-district FKDM added, FKDM not only carries out its duties in early disaster monitoring, but also participates in community activities in each regions, such as cleaning mosque.

"From the beginning until reaching a year of COVID-19, Koja Sub-district FKDM is ready to monitor all remote areas in Koja area," he closed.
