Tanjung Priok Water Resources (SDA) Task Force, North Jakarta dredged connecting (PHB) channel in Sunter Indah Park, RW 04, Sunter Jaya Urban Village.
Dredging work has been carried out since early February and targeted to finish in mid-March
Tanjung Priok Sub-district SDA Task Force Head, Deny Tri Hendarto stated, dredging was carried out to optimize PHB channel's capacity and anticipate inundation, especially when heavy rain falls.
"Dredging work has been carried out since early February and targeted to finish in mid-March," he explained, Tuesday (3/2).
Two Infiltration Wells Built in East Jakarta Mayor's Official ResidenceHis side dredged mud from PHB Channel in Sunter Indah Park with length of 744 meters, width 4.8 meters and height 2.5 meters. His side could collected about 42 cubic meters per day, thus until now it reached 1,050 cubic meters of mud.
"We also deploy 1 excavator and 3 dump trucks, as well as 7 Tanjung Priok Sub-district SDA Task Force personnel," he informed.
Through this dredging, his side expected PHB channel in Sunter Indah Park can hold more water and accelerate the water flow to Sunter Selatan Reservoir.
