Infiltration Wells on Jalan Dermaga Cleaned From Mud

Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency cleaned up infiltration wells on Jalan Dermaga, RT 01 and RT 02 of RW 03, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district.

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Abdul Rouf conveyed, infiltration wells were cleaned by dredging mud sedimentation and garbage from the wells since it could cause silting.

"We deploy 4 personnel from local SDA Task Force. It is one of our routine tasks to ensure channels and infiltration wells are functioning well," he mentioned, Tuesday (3/2).

He explained that his personnel collected five sacks full of mud sedimentation and garbage from infiltration wells.

"Hopefully it can increase its capacity and clean up all blockage in infiltration wells in order to prevent inundation in surrounding area," he closed.
