Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of March 2

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of March 2.

Some of today's positive data is delayed due to improved input connections to the Health Ministry system and will be inputted into the data on March 3

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 12,267 specimens. 8,267 of them were to diagnose new cases with 578 positive and 7,689 negative results.

"Some of today's positive data is delayed due to improved input connections to the Health Ministry system and will be inputted into the data on March 3," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta's PPID press release, Tuesday (3/2).

Latest COVID-19 Information in Jakarta as of March 1, 2021

She furthered, the number of people tested last week has reached 82,919, while 289,205 people have undergone the swab tests. As for the number of active cases in Jakarta to date was 8,277 people who were undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or decreased to 1,479 cases.

As for the total number of confirmed cases in Jakarta today was 342,371 cases. Of these cases, 328,526 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 96% and 5,568 people died, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.7%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 12.7%, while Indonesia was 11.1%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Amid PSBB, residents wanting to enter the Jakarta area were urged to carry out independent COVID-19 check-up through the JakCLM via JAKI app. In this app, they could find out the risk of COVID-19 and got various health recommendations according to the risks they have. This contribution would help the government to prevent the diseases in Jakarta.

Together with Satpol PP, the operation for residents who do not wear masks will also be intensified, including other PSBB violations. Hopefully, they can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in stopping the chain of COVID-19.

Here are the things that need to be done in daily activities amid the pandemic:

1. Stay home if not urgent

2. Always run 3M rules: (Mencuci tangan (washing hands), Memakai masker (wearing masks) and Menjaga jarak (maintaining physical distancing)

3. All activities permitted to operate must be within a maximum capacity of 50% and strictly adhere to health protocols

4. Remind others to always implement health protocols

Here is the recap data of violations and prosecution compiled by Satpol PP in tightening the PSBB as of March 1 at 8 PM, as follows:

A. Masks

- Social Work = 2,903

- Fine = 42

Total = 2,945

B. Restaurant

- Fine = 0

- Temporary suspension of activities = 24

- Temporary suspension of activities = 7

- Written warning = 48

- License Revocation = 1

- Zero violation = 463

- Total = 543

C. Workplaces, Business Places, Industrial Places

- Fine = 0

- Temporary suspension of activities for 3x24 hours = 4

- Written warning = 30

- License Revocation = 0

- Zero violation = 415

Total = 450

D. Value of Fines

- Individual = Rp 4,250,000

- Place of business to eat and drink/restaurant = Rp 0

- Workplace/Industrial = Rp 25,000,000

Amount = Rp 29,250,000
