5 Puskesmas in E. Jakarta Transformed Into Hospital Type D

As many as sub-district community health centers (puskesmas) will be transformed into hospital type D this year. It was already strengthened in the Governor Regulation No. 1024/2014.

Head of East Jakarta Health Sub-Department, Yudhita Endah Prihmaningtyas explained the five puskesmas is still construction process and predicted to finish in mid-December 2014.

2 Puskesmas in West Jakarta to Be Type D Hospitals

 

Prihmaningtyas mentions those puskesmas are Pulo Gadung, Makasar, Matraman, Cakung and Cipayung. According to her, hospital type D must at least have 40 beds, specialist doctors, and must serve 850-1,000 patients per day.

 

"In addition, several facilities that must be owned is 24-hour emergency room (UGD), laboratory, Ultra Sono Graphic (USG) and x-rays. Her sub-department spent Rp 93 billion taken from 2014 City Budget (APBD) for puskesmas construction," she said, Friday (11/7).

 

She added those hospitals type D can improve healthcare service for the needy. This is because, the current puskesmas has been unable to accommodate people due to lack of capacity.

 

"By doing so, we hope all patients could be served and no more patients displaced in the future," she hoped.
