Puskesmas in West Jakarta Upgraded to Type D Hospitals

Jakarta Provincial Government is going to upgrade community health centers (puskesmas) to become type D hospitals. In West Jakarta, two community health centers are ready to be upgraded to type D hospitals, namely Kalideres and Kembangan sub-district community health centers.

Head of West Jakarta Health Sub-Department, Widyastuti, disclosed that both community health centers met requirements as type D hospitals because they have wide lands, inpatient facilities, and two specialist doctors (surgeon and pediatrician).
“Kalideres and Kembangan sub-district community health centers are qualified to be upgraded to type D hospitals. The human resources (SDM) and medical equipment needed are also already available,” she stated, Wednesday (10/1).

While for Kembangan Sub-District Community Health Center, it has a very good delivery room services thus make many people feel, including patients from Tangerang, comfortable getting treatment there.
At this time, West Jakarta Health Sub-Department is also preparing replacement community health centers after Kalideres and Kembangan sub-district community health centers upgraded to type D hospitals. The land prepared for Kalideres Sub-District Community Health Center belongs to city administration and is located in Pegadungan, while the land for Kembangan Sub-District Community Health Center is being prepared by Meruya Selatan Urban Village.
“The requirements that must be met by replacement community health centers are wide land, adequate building, strategic location, and accessible by public minivan,” uttered Widyastuti.
