SDA Routinely Supplies Water for All Handwashing Facilities in Harapan Islands

Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency routinely refills water tanks in every handwashing facilities at RW 01 and RW 02, Harapan Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Abdul Rouf mentioned, clean water is supplied to facilitate people to wash their hands as one of 3M health protocols in preventing COVID-19 transmission.

"We supply clean water twice a week, every Monday and Saturday. Our personnel refill water tanks using motor cart to ensure water is available for washing hands," he said, Monday (3/8).

His side usually provides 300 liters clean water obtained from Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) to refill water tanks in all handwashing facilities.

"During COVID-19 pandemic, we hope residents and tourist can be disciplined in washing their hands with soap as a part of clean and healthy lifestyle," he asserted.
