Jakarta Designs Application to Accommodate Citizen Complaints

To accommodate citizen aspiration, Jakarta Provincial Government is designing an internet-based application program called as SwaKita. The application is technically in the form of a map that can display any events or public reports, as well as information and photos.

With the application, urban village and sub-district heads can monitor what is happening in their area

Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama disclosed the program is similar to savetypin.com. Later on, public can mark the location and report the incidents via SwaKita application. "With the application, urban village and sub-district heads can monitor what is happening in their area," he explained, Sunday (11/9).

Besides flood, accident, and security, Ahok stated, citizen complaints can also displayed in the application. "If there are reckless bus drivers in the field, people can report it. Thus far, the application is still being prepared by the developer," he said.
