Head of Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Department, Subejo disclosed there are about 127 flood-prone areas in Jakarta. 54 of them or 62 percent are in West Jakarta.

Head of Operational Section for West Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department, Abdul Wahid added that flood simulation is involved by 250 officers of fire and disaster handling sub-department, social sub-department, Satpol PP, disaster response team (Tagana), Indonesian red cross (PMI), army/police, and public.
On that occasion, fire handling on how to evacuate people who drown into the river and handling the victims was also conducted. "The activity we do as a form of readiness and coordination among units in the handling of flood prevention," he explained.
He furthered, as many as 150 officers will be deployed in each flood and fire and disaster handling posts all over West Jakarta. "These officers will on standby all day," he finished.
