The East Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) held a simulation on how to evacuate flood victim by involving 280 joint personnel.
"It is predicted the floods will be more devastating than last year. That's why, we must do anticipation to reduce the number of casualties," said Responsible for Flood Simulation, East Jakarta BPBD, Abdul Kholik, Tuesday (10/28).
City Ready to Face FloodingKholik explained 280 joint personnel consist of 250 personnel of East Jakarta Administration, army and police, 30 volunteers. The simulation will take place on 28-30 October at the East Flood Canal (BKT), Duren Sawit Sub-District.
"Such simulation is important in order to create good cooperation among officers. With this activity, the officer may also exchange information," he disclosed.
