Vehicle test (KIR) service at Ujung Menteng Motor Vehicle testing Service Unit (UP PKB), Cakung, East Jakarta is transferred to three UP PKBs in other regions from this Friday (3/12), after 13 employees are confirmed positive for COVID-19.
Service will be transferred to Pulogadung UP PKB, Cilincing UP PKB, and Kedaung Angke UP PKB from Friday to Saturday
Ujung Menteng UP PKB Sarpras Unit Head, Arie Fitriadi mentioned, 13 personnel who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 are currently undergoing isolation and treatment at Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital, Cempaka Putih Hospital (RSUD), and a private hospital in Bekasi, West Java.
"Service will be transferred to Pulogadung UP PKB, Cilincing UP PKB, and Kedaung Angke UP PKB from Friday to Saturday. Hopefully service can return to normal on Monday," he added.

According to schedule, they would do the test today and tomorrow. But due to this case, his side immediately inform all vehicle owners to carry out vehicle test in other three UP PKBs.
"They can go directly to other three UP PKBs without paying," he said.
In preventing COVID-19 transmission, his side had sprayed the area with disinfectant independently. His side also coordinated with East Jakarta PMI to carry out disinfectant spraying on Saturday (3/13).
Disinfectant spraying was carried out thoroughly, from parking area, main lobby, service room, waiting room, workspace, toilets, prayer rooms to vehicle mechanical test lanes.
Regarding his employees who were exposed to COVID-19, he explained that in February, there was one employee who had typhus. However, after carrying out health screening, it turned out he was positive for COVID-19. Thus on March 3, swab tests were conducted on 34 people, and it resulted one person with positive result.
Further swab test conducted on March 9 for 85 employees and 5 personnel were tested positive. Not only that, 8 other employees carried out independent swab tests and it was found that seven of them tested positive.
Based on these findings, he reported to Jakarta Transportation Agency which recommended to transfer vehicle test services from this Friday to Saturday.
