Jakarta Government urges all people to be more disciplined in implementing 3M health protocols because COVID-19 positive cases are still increasing. Although the government continues to intensify 3T action, it needs cooperation from the community to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission.
10,625 specimens have been tested today
Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia stated, based on the latest data from Jakarta Health Agency, PCR test has been carried out for 13,865 specimens.
"From that amount, 10,625 specimens have been tested today to diagnose new cases with total of 1,034 positive results and 9,591 negative results," she explained as quoted in Jakarta PPID Press Release, Saturday (3/13).

While the number of people tested for PCR in the past week reached 76,611. Number of positive cases declined by 839 cases thus in total it reached 7,583 active cases as of today (including people who are still being treated/isolated)
Meanwhile for total confirmed cases in Jakarta as of today reached 358,776 cases. From that amount, 345,202 people recovered with recovery rate of 96.2% and 5,991 people died with mortality rate of 1.7%. While mortality rate in Indonesia reached 2.7%
For positivity rate or positive cases percentage in the past week in Jakarta reached 13.3%, while the percentage of positive cases in total reached 11.1%. WHO also set standard positive cases percentage no more than 5%.
Jakarta Satpol PP will also give sanction for anyone who don't wear mask and violate health protocols, as well as intensify guest book data collection. It is hoped that people can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission.
Based on Jakarta Satpol PP's daily report as of March 12, 2021 which submitted at 20:00, Satpol PP had caught 2,913 residents who didn't wear masks. From that number, officers imposed social work sanction to 2,888 violators and administrative fines to 25 violators with total Rp 4,250,000.
They also monitored 472 restaurants and cafes. As the result, one business place that violated regulation was subject to fine Rp 2,000,000; two business places were sanctioned for temporary suspension of operation for 1x24 hours, two were closed for 3x24 hours, and 20 others were given written warning. While 405 business places didn't commit violations.
Satpol PP also carried out health protocols monitoring in 458 workplaces and industries. As the result, 27 of them were given written warnings, and 1 was given sanction to stop activities for 3x24 hours,.
