This March, Central Jakarta Targets to Complete Vaccination Program for Elderly

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma held cross-sectoral coordination meeting to complete COVID-19 vaccination program for elderly in 8 sub-districts until end of this March.

"We have outlined the vaccination target for elderly in each sub-districts. We hope this target can be completed by March 31, according to the direction of Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan," he said, Wednesday (3/17).

Based on data, total 129,093 elderly residents in Central Jakarta are targeted for COVID-19 vaccination. From that number, 43,875 elderly residents have been vaccinated and the remaining 85,218 haven't.

Therefore, Central Jakarta Government has drawn up strategies thus the remaining 85,218 elderly people can be vaccinated this month.

"We will add vaccination locations which integrated in each sub-districts thus it can faciliate all elderly people in Central Jakarta to be vaccinated," he mentioned.

He is optimistic that by opening more vaccination service points, his side will be faster to achieve the vaccination target.
