25 School Buses Help Elderly to Reach Vaccination Locations in Jakarta

As many as 25 school buses plus 55 personnel belong to the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) have been alerted to serve the elderly to reach the Covid-19 vaccination locations spread over Jakarta city.

They (bus) will be on standby in city area and its operational mechanism follows the needs for direction

School Transport Managemenr Unit (UPAS) for Dishub Head, Ali Murthado detailed, from 25 buses, 20 were medium-sized bus with 22 seats and 5 were micro bus with 20 seats.

"They (bus) will be on standby in city area and its operational mechanism follows the needs for direction," he expressed, Friday (3/19).

Elderlies, Let's Take School Bus to Reach Vaccination Site

He explained his personnel had served 67 elderly people yesterday, which was the first day of the service. It was a quick response to responding to residents' needs for the elderly to the vaccination site.

"This is our full support to smoothen the handling of COVID-19, including a vaccination program for the elderly," he stated.

As for the information, specifically for East Jakarta, today's service is focused on Cipinang Melayu, Makassar (3 buses), Cakung Timur and Ujung Menteng, Cakung (1 bus per area). Previously it conducted in Cipinang Muara, Jatinegara and Jatinegara Kaum, Pulogadung.
