"I'm comfortable riding this bus and it also has air conditioning," she said, who lives on Jalan Basuki Rahmat No. 54, RT 06/14 Cipinang Muara.

However, the local RT caretaker informed that there was a shuttle service using school buses. She finally went to the urban village office to take advantage of this free service to go to the vaccination site.

"This is very helpful for us to reach the vaccination site," she admitted.

This school bus service for the elderly is one of the facilities provided by the School Transportation Service Unit (UPAS), which aims to make the dynamic vaccination program for the elderly people a success.

UPAS' Facility and Infrastructure Executing Unit Head, Siswanto exclaimed the bus was deployed to pick up the elderly from the designated location to the vaccination service point and vice versa.

Especially in East Jakarta, this program had been ongoing on Wednesday (3/16) in Jatinegara Kaum Urban Village, Pulogadung. It was recorded that as many as 15 elderly people enjoyed the service. Similar service also touched Cipinang Muara.

"It is a priority scale to support elderly vaccination services. We are going to provide a pick-up service until elderly vaccination program is complete," he stressed.

For maximum service, his party asked the regional heads to socialize the service program in their respective neighborhoods.

"Thus far requests from residents are still small, it is possible that many residents do not know about this service program," he closed.
