Satpol PP: Nightclubs in East Jakarta Still Obey Health Protocols

A number of personnel, conducted the PSBB monitoring in ten sub-districts since yesterday until Sunday (3/21) at dawn. They did not find any nightclubs that were operating and only dispersed the crowd of people hanging out in the area of Jalan Pintu I TMII.

East Jakarta Satpol PP Head Budi Novian said around 50 personnel deployed to the location. They were divided into two teams.

One team alerted in Cakung, Duren Sawit, Pulogadung, Matraman and Jatinegara areas. The second team deployed to Pasar Rebo, Ciracas, Cipayung, Kramat Jati and Makasar areas.

"We hold raids on nine nightclubs but they are not operating or closed. That means they still adhere to health protocols," he said.

According to him, those nine nightclubs were located at Jalan Pintu II TMII, Pinang Ranti, Makasar, Jalan Raya Hankam Ceger Urban Village, Cipayung, and Jalan Komarudin on east side of JORR toll road.

Then in the Ruko Inkopau AURI Housing Complex, Jalan Raya Bekasi, Ujung Menteng, Cakung.

"We detect a crowd of people at the main gate of TMII and we immediately disperse them," he continued.

Similar action was also spotted in the front of the Pulo Gebang Terminal. Dozens of coffee sellers and other hawkers who were deemed to bring the crowd and had been dispersed.

"This aims to curb the spread of Covid-19 " he stressed.
