Pulogadung Satpol PP Helps Elderly to Reach Vaccination Site

Some 10 personnel of Pulogadung Sub-district Satpol PP, deployed to serve the elderly by picking up them for COVID-19 vaccination at SMKN 26, Jalan Balai Pustaka, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, on Sunday (3/21).

This service is dedicated to seniors who do not have a vehicle or who need assistance to get to the vaccination site

Pulogadung Sub-district Satpol PP Head Andik Sukaryanto disclosed the action using seven vehicles got assistance from 20 personnel of PPSU and RT/RW caretakers.

"This service is dedicated to seniors who do not have a vehicle or who need assistance to get to the vaccination site," he said.

He explained they also set up security at the vaccination site and helped elderly people who use wheelchairs to process documents at the registration desk, ranging from screening, vaccination to the time of observation.

Pulogadung Sub-district Puskesmas Head Titta Gusni Salim explained that around 1,400 people were targeted to receive vaccine today.

Those were from Pulogadung, Kayu Putih, Jati, Rawamangun, Cipinang, Jatinegara Kaum, and Pisangan Timur urban villages.

"To smoothen the vaccination, 110 health workers have been alerted at the location," he uttered.

Thus far, he added, it was not yet known how many people who had been vaccinated, as it was still ongoing. Aside that, it was only the elderly whose screening results showed a comorbidity, so the vaccination was postponed first, waiting for their health conditions to return to normal.
