Jakarta Starts Vaccinating Teachers in North Jakarta

The Jakarta administration has started conducting the COVID-19 vaccination program towards teachers, including those who work under the North Jakarta Education Agency for Region I and II.

This vaccination is for teachers at all levels of education, either public or private

North Jakarta Education Sub-agency for Region I Head, Sri Rahayu Asih Subekti noted that as many as 1,204 teachers under Tanjung Priok, Pademangan and Penjaringan sub-districts would undergo the vaccination at the Lapangan Artha Graha Hospital until the end of the forthcoming April.

"This vaccination is for teachers at all levels of education, either public or private. They will be gradually scheduled to get vaccine," she expressed, Monday (3/29).

North Jakarta Education Sub-agency for Region II Head, Purwanto uttered that as many as 1,595 teachers in Cilincing, Koja and Kelapa Gading sub-districts were targeted to get vaccine.

"Those teachers work in the early childhood education school (PAUD), kindergarten, elementary school, senior high school, vocational school and learning and teaching center (PKBM) or equal," he explained.

The vaccination itself was scheduled to be held at SMK Santo Yakobus, Kinasih Clinic, SMPN 270, Kelapa Gading Mall. and Mall Of Indonesia.

"Besides preventing exposure and the bad effects of COVID-19, this vaccination is an effort to prepare for face-to-face learning," he stated.
