Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of April 5

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of April 5.

The number of people tested last week has reached 63,370

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 9,778 specimens. 6,942 of them were to diagnose new cases with 523 positive and 6,419 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, w here 1,786 were tested, with 20 positive results and 1,766 negative results.

"The number of people tested last week has reached 63,370, while 324,661 people have undergone the swab tests. As for the number of active cases in Jakarta to date was 6,075 people who were undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or decreased to 466 cases," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta's PPID press release, Monday (4/5).

As for the total number of confirmation cases in Jakarta to date was 386,989 cases. Of these cases, 374,542 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 96.8% and 6,372 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.6%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.7%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 9.9%, while Indonesia was 11.2%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process was still ongoing. The number of vaccination targets for stages 1 and 2 (health workers, the elderly, and public servants) was 3,000,689 people. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 1,352,341 people (45.1%) and the total vaccination dose 2 now reached 498,072 people (16.6%).

With the detailed, vaccination dose 1 for health workers reached 121,850 people (108.5%) and vaccination dose 2 included 105,514 people (94.0%), with a vaccination target of 112.301 people. As for the elderly, vaccination dose 1 was done to 730,364 people (36.9%) and vaccination dose 2 included 305,602 people (15.5%), with a vaccination target of 911,631 people. In the public service, vaccination dose 1 was administered to 488,136 people (37.6%) and vaccination dose 2 included 308,776 people (15.6%), with a vaccination target of 1,976,757 people.

The Jakarta administration had provided isolation and ICU beds in handling COVID-19. Based on the latest data as of March 28, there was an increase in the bed capacity in 106 referral hospitals. For isolation beds, there were 7,692 people, the percentage was 49% with a total of 3,774 isolation patients. While for 1,137 ICU beds, the percentage of filling was 54% with a total of 610 ICU patients.

Amid PSBB, residents wanting to enter the Jakarta area were urged to carry out independent COVID-19 check-up through the JakCLM via JAKI app. In this app, they could find out the risk of COVID-19 and got various health recommendations according to the risks they have. This contribution would help the government to prevent the diseases in Jakarta.

Together with Satpol PP, the operation for residents who do not wear masks will also be intensified, including other PSBB violations. Hopefully, they can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in stopping the chain of COVID-19.
