Latest COVID-19 Information in Jakarta as of April 3, 2021

Jakarta Government urges all people to be more disciplined in implementing 3M health protocols because COVID-19 positive cases are still increasing. Although the government continues to intensify 3T action, it needs cooperation from the community to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

Number of people tested for PCR in the past week reached 67,899

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia stated, based on the latest data from Jakarta Health Agency, PCR test has been carried out to 9,396 specimens. From that amount, 6,953 specimens have been tested today to diagnose new cases with total of 1,337 positive results and 5,855 negative results. Besides, Antigen test was also conducted to 1,631 people with 30 positive results and 1,601 negative results.

"For information, 323,356 PCR tests have been carried out per 1 million population. While the number of people tested for PCR in the past week reached 67,899. Number of positive cases declined by 147 cases thus in total it reached 6,880 active cases as of today (including people who are still being treated/isolated)," she explained as quoted in Jakarta PPID Press Release.

Satpol PP Calls for Action to Anticipate COVID-19 at Kampung Rambutan Terminal

Meanwhile for total confirmed cases in Jakarta as of today reached 385,730 cases. From that amount, 372,494  people recovered with recovery rate of 96.6% and 6,356 people died with mortality rate of 1.6%. While mortality rate in Indonesia reached 2.7%

For positivity rate or positive cases percentage in the past week in Jakarta reached 11.1%, while the percentage of positive cases in total reached 11.2%. WHO also set standard positive cases percentage no more than 5%.

Vaccination process is still ongoing. Vaccination target for stage 1 and 2 (for health workers, elderly and public servants) is 3,000,689 people. Currently, first dose vaccination has been given to 1,325,622 people (44.2%) and second dose vaccination to 490,215 people (16.3%).

In detail, for health workers, first dose vaccination has been given to 124,396 people (110.8%) and second dose to 107,368 people (95.6%) with total vaccination target 112,301 people. For elderly group, first dose vaccination has been given to 485,807 people (53.3%) and second dose to 80,541 people (8.8%) with total vaccination target 911,631 people. In public service group, first dose vaccination has been given to 715,419 people (36.2%) and second dose to 302,306 people (15.3%) with total vaccination target 1,976,757 people.

Jakarta Government has provided isolation beds and ICU beds for COVID-19 patients. Based on the latest data on March 28, there was an increase in isolation beds and ICU beds capacity in 106 referral hospitals. The number of isolated beds is 7,692, the percentage of occupancy is 49% with total isolated patients 3,774 people. While, for the ICU beds, there were 1,137 units, with percentage of filling is 54% with total ICU patients reached 610 people.

Jakarta Satpol PP also gives sanction for anyone who don't wear mask and violate health protocols, and intensifies guest book data collection. It is hoped that people can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

Jakarta Provincial Government is still opening opportunity for residents who want to provide assistance to the others who affected by COVID-19 through Large-scale Social Collaboration (KSBB) Program.
