Latest Information on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of April 10, 2021

Jakarta Government urges all people to be more disciplined in implementing 3M health protocols because COVID-19 positive cases are still increasing. Although the government continues to intensify 3T action, it needs cooperation from the community to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

For information, 329,437 PCR tests have been carried out per 1 million population

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia stated, based on the latest data from Jakarta Health Agency, PCR test has been carried out to 13,053 specimens.

From that amount, 10,442 specimens have been tested today to diagnose new cases with total of 977 positive results and 9,465 negative results. Besides, Antigen test was also conducted to 4,081 people with 65 positive results and 4,016 negative results.

"For information, 329,437 PCR tests have been carried out per 1 million population. While the number of people tested for PCR in the past week reached 64,723. Number of positive cases increased by 128 cases thus in total it reached 7,335 active cases as of today (including people who are still being treated/isolated)," she explained as quoted in Jakarta PPID Press Release, Saturday (4/10).

Meanwhile for total confirmed cases in Jakarta as of today reached 391,567 cases. It should be noted that positive antigen test results in Jakarta were not included in total positive cases because all were reconfirmed by PCR.

From total positive cases, 377,797  people recovered with recovery rate of 96.5% and 6,435 people died with mortality rate of 1.6%. While mortality rate in Indonesia reached 2.7%

For positivity rate or positive cases percentage in the past week in Jakarta reached 9.0%, while the percentage of positive cases in total reached 11.2%. WHO also set standard positive cases percentage no more than 5%.

Vaccination process is still ongoing. Vaccination target for stage 1 and 2 (for health workers, elderly and public servants) is 3,000,689 people. Currently, first dose vaccination has been given to 1,506,706 people (50.2%) and second dose vaccination to 677,132 people (22.6%).

In detail, for health workers, first dose vaccination has been given to 123,387 people (109.9%) and second dose to 107,509 people (95.7%) with total vaccination target 112,301 people.

For elderly group, first dose vaccination has been given to 516,816 people (56.7%) and second dose to 166,705 people (18.3%) with total vaccination target 911,631 people. In public service group, first dose vaccination has been given to 866,503 people (43.8%) and second dose to 402,918 people (20.4%) with total vaccination target 1,976,757 people.

Jakarta Satpol PP also gives sanction for anyone who don't wear mask and violate health protocols, and intensifies guest book data collection. It is hoped that people can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

Based on Jakarta Satpol PP's daily report as of April 10, 2021 which submitted at 20:00, Satpol PP had netted 1,856 residents who didn't wear masks. From that number, officers imposed social work sanction to 1,821 violators and administrative fines to 35 violators with total Rp 5,750,000.     

They also monitored 311 restaurants and cafes. As the result, 1 business place was sanctioned for temporary suspension of operation for 1x24 hours, 1 was closed for 3x24 hours, 10 business places were given written warning, and 5 others were dismissed. While 295 business places didn't commit violations.

Satpol PP also carried out health protocols monitoring in 290 workplaces and industries. As the result, 15 of them were given written warnings, and 1 was fined Rp 10,000,000. While 274 workplaces and industries didn't commit violations.

By using JakCLM, people can get information about COVID-19 risks and various recommendations according to the risks they have. People's contribution in filling JakCLM can help Jakarta Government in preventing COVID-19 spread in Jakarta.

Jakarta Provincial Government is still opening opportunity for residents who want to provide assistance to the others who affected by COVID-19 through Large-scale Social Collaboration (KSBB) Program.
