71.7 Kilograms Waste Collected at Kecapi Waste Bank in Kebagusan

Total 71.7 kilograms waste were collected at RW 04 Kecapi Waste Bank, Kebagusan Urban Village, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, after not operating for a year due to COVID-19 pandemic.

During COVID-19 pandemic, it was completely vacuumed

Kebagusan Urban Village Secretary, Mohammad Yohan stated, waste bank can return to operate thanks to hard work of PKK, Jumantik, and Dasawisma cadres.

"RW 04 Kecapi Waste Bank has been built since 2013. But during COVID-19 pandemic, it was completely vacuumed. Now it returns to operate and we really appreciate it," he conveyed, Wednesday (4/14).

Jaya RW 07 Waste Bank in Karet Officially Operates

RW 04 Kecapi Waste Bank is now under management of Nestle CSR in an effort to reduce volume of waste in South Jakarta area.

Murni, Head of RT 10/04 Kebagusan Urban Village who is also the administrator of RW 04 Kecapi Waste Bank said that currently there are 30 active customers who deposit non-organic waste such as cartons, plastic bottles, and so on.

"Today we are collecting 71.7 kilograms waste. After operating, it is not only reducing volume of waste, but also increase people's income," she mentioned.
