Kalideres Terminal Continues to Promote Homecoming Ban

The Kalideres AKAP Bus Terminal, West Jakarta continues to socialize the 2021 homecoming ban to bus companies and prospective passengers.

We have done socialization since May 6-17. So far they (bus companies and prospective passengers) understand and accept it

Kalideres Bus Terminal Head Revi Zulkarnaen said that it was conducted in accordance with the Task Force Head's Circular Letter number 13/2021 on Eid Homecoming Ban and COVID-19 Handling in Ramadan 1441 Hijri.

"We have done socialization since May 6-17. So far they (bus companies and prospective passengers) understand and accept it," he expressed, Thursday (4/15).

On First Day of Ramadan, 227 Travelers Departed from Kampung Rambutan Terminal

His party was still awaiting further regulations regarding the elimination of this year's Eid homecoming from the Transportation Ministry and Transportation Agency (Dishub).

"Thus far the terminal looks quiet. We predict an increase in the number of passengers will occur on May 1-5, but its number will be small than before the pandemic," he said.

Nevertheless, his party was still conducting a routine bus worthiness check, such as the condition of tires, brakes, lights, availability of glass-breaking hammers, hand sanitizers in the bus and so forth.

PO Citra Sekar Harum Caretaker, who serves Jakarta - Bengkulu route, Copi admitted that his company was about to comply with the central government's provisions and regulations regarding the homecoming ban.

He also revealed that the impact of the homecoming ban was that many of his customers who had ordered tickets canceled their orders and the company had returned 100 percent of their money. However, some had to divert the trips for May 1 - 5.

"We have received the information. The terminal is very active in providing information to the PO Bus administrators," he exclaimed.

Meanwhile, one of the prospective passengers met at the Kalideres Bus Terminal, Hanifah (30) said that the government should review the policy, as he really wanted to gather with the family in the hometown, Padang.

"Hopefully it can be reviewed again, homecoming is allowed but still under health protocols. Last year I had to cancel my trip but this year is my hope to go home, I miss wanting to stay in touch in my hometown," he stated.
