Total 7,237 elderly people in Pademangan Sub-district, North Jakarta have received COVID-19 vaccines.

Pademangan Sub-district Health Center (Puskesmas) Head, Octaviana Carolina stated, based on real data on the field as of April 15, 2021, it is recorded 7,237 elderly people in Pademangan Sub-district have been vaccinated against COVID-19. While in this vaccination program, Pademangan Sub-district is targeting 7,259 elderly people to receive vaccines.
"Total 7,237 elderly people in three urban villages have been vaccinated. There are 1,696 elderly people in Ancol Urban Village, 2,955 elderly people in Pademangan Barat Urban Village, and 2,586 in Pademangan Timur Urban Village," she informed, Friday (4/16).

Moreover, her side also cooperates with all urban villages in the region to provide shuttle service, especially for elderly people who have difficulties related to transportation.
"Elderly people who have difficulties in transportation can use shuttle service that utilize urban villages' operational vehicles and PPSU motorbikes," she added.
In providing vaccination for elderly, her side faced several problems, but most of them is refusal from elderly's families. They refused vaccination because they believed hoax news that had been circulating which stated that COVID-19 vaccination was not halal and unsafe.
"We provide discussion with sub-district, urban village, RT/RW, Satpol PP, FKDM, and FKLU to educate them about vaccination," she explained.
