8,996 Elderly Residents in Pasar Rebo Have Received COVID-19 Vaccines

As many as 8,996 or around 62.52 percent of total 14,389 elderly residents in Pasar Rebo Sub-district, East Jakarta have been injected with COVID-19 vaccines.

We are making the vaccination sites closer to the elderly

Pasar Rebo Sub-district Deputy Head, Santoso conveyed, 14.389 elderly residents in five urban villages were targeted in COVID-19 vaccination program for elderly. There are 3,150 elderly residents in Pekayon Urban Village, 3,569 elderly residents in Kalisari, 3,342 elderly residents in Cijantung, 3,089 elderly residents in Gedong Urban Village, and 1,239 elderly residents in Baru Urban Village.

According to him, vaccination sites for elderly were divided in two categories. For static vaccination service is carried out at Pasar Rebo Sub-district Health Center (Puskesmas) and Kesdam Jaya Hospital's Health Center. While for dynamic vaccination is carried out at each sub-district health centers or school buildings which are easy for residents to access it.

"We are making the vaccination sites closer to the elderly," he stated, Tuesday (4/13).

Especially for elderly people who have difficulty in transportation, his side has prepared shuttle service in each urban village. Besides, his side also collaborates with Transportation Agency (Dishub)'s School Transportation Management Unit (UPAS).

"For elderly people who have difficulty in transportation, we have facilitated them with shuttle service using school buses and urban village operational vehicles," he closed.
