Ramadan, 120 Orphans on Panggang Island Receive Compensation

This compensation is given to lighten their burdens in fulfilling the daily needs amid the pandemic

Panggang Island Urban Village Acting Head, Iskandar symbolically handed over compensation to 120 orphans from PT Nusantara Regas, on Tuesday (4/27).

He detailed, 77 out of 120 beneficiaries were from Panggang Island and 43 others were from Pramuka Island.

"This compensation is given to lighten their burdens in fulfilling the daily needs amid the pandemic," he expressed, at the Panggang Island Karang Taruna Building, North Thousand Islands Sub-district, Thousand Islands.

Al-Hidayah Foundation Chairman, As'ad Syafarudin expressed most of the beneficiaries were orphans cared for by the foundation.

"This assistance is of course very beneficial and brings happiness to our children, thanks to PT Nusantara Regas," he admitted.

PT Nusantara Regas CSR Officer, Hendy Priatna added, it was realized through the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) program for social and educational programs.

"This is our routine agenda in the month of Ramadan to share and establish silaturahmi (friendship) with the residents," he stated.
