Cipayung RSUD Has Completed with Hospital Disaster Plan System

Hospital Disaster Plan system is directly monitored and commanded by the K3 RSUD which coordinates with the Director of Cipayung Hospital

The Cipayung General Hospital (RSUD) which is located on Jalan TMII III Bambu Apus, East Jakarta finally has a Hospital Disaster Plan system, which is a system or flow of preparedness for all RSUD components against disasters that may occur at any time.

The system has also the flow and method of evacuation for patients, visitors, and all hospital employees.

Cipayung RSUD Director Eko Nugroho Budhi Prasetyo disclosed his party already had a disaster response team with 25 personnel in each floor of the hospital. Those personnel were medical and non-medical personnel, including security officers and cleaning services.

"Hospital Disaster Plan system is directly monitored and commanded by the K3 RSUD which coordinates with the Director of Cipayung Hospital," he said, Tuesday (4/27).

He furthered that it also had its own way of evacuating patients in the COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 rooms. This evacuation technique had been simulated during the commemoration of National Disaster Preparedness Day, a few days ago.

Cipayung RSUD Public Relation Samuel Tambunan added personnel in the core team were divided into five types of helmets or head protectors, where green helmet was for the service coordinator, red was for the fire rescue team, blue was for the patient evacuation team, white was for the evacuation team for important documents and documents, and yellow was for the evacuation team for important medical equipment.

"Those who carry out evacuation duty from inside the building, exit through the existing evacuation route in the building until they arrive at the gathering point," he explained.

They also played a role in minimizing casualties and ensuring the safety and health of patients, visitors and employees who were evacuated.

As for the supporting infrastructure owned, everything was in accordance with standards. They were building alarm, ram or emergency evacuation routes, etc, including portable extinguisher (APAR) on four floors in the hospital.

Then the other important thing was Cipayung Hospital had qualified human resources in implementing the system. They had undergone training held by the Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) and the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Agency.
