North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency (Sudinhub) Head, Harlem Simanjuntak said, homecoming checkpoint in North Jakarta is located at traffic light intersection on Jl. Perintis Kemerdekaan, Kelapa Gading, near Bella Terra Lifestyle Center.
"Personnel have guarded the checkpoint since 00:00. We deploy 4 Sudinhub personnel to assist police officers," he added, Thursday (5/6).
City Informs Procedure to Apply for SIKMGuarding the homecoming checkpoints is in accordance with COVID-19 Task Force Circular Letter (SE) No. 13/2021 regarding Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri Homecoming Ban and Efforts to Control COVID-19 Transmission During Holy Month of Ramadan 1442 Hijri.
Personnel will monitor people's mobility to anticipate violation on homecoming ban because that location is entry and exit point for vehicle from outside Jakarta and vice versa. This operation is carried out for 24-hour from today to March 17, 2021 on checkpoint on Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan.
"Our personnel are divided into three work shifts according to schedule from police," he said.
He added that officers on the field will manage traffic flow, socialize road users about Homecoming Ban, and check road user's vehicle documents to anticipate unauthorized travel, vehicles that transporting goods with excess capacity, and other vehicles that are allegedly carrying passengers illegally.
"All violations will be subject to BAP according to the type of violation. Prosecution is within police's authority and our duty is to assist. We hope residents can comply with government regulations that prohibit homecoming activities. It is all for common interest to reduce COVID-19 spread," he asserted.
