Rambutan 07 Waste Bank Received Waste Shredder Machines

Rambutan 07 Waste Bank (BSR 07) at RT 07/08, Kebagusan Urban Village, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta received aid in form of two waste shredder machines from Environment (LH) Ministry.

Kebagusan Urban Village Secretary, Mohammad Yohan stated, waste shredder machines are useful to cut plastic and organic waste collected from waste bank customers into tiny pieces. Those machines are expected to encourage BSR 07 managers to be more active in reducing waste volume in Kebagusan Urban Village.

"We would like to thank Environment Ministry for the assistance in form of one plastic waste shredder machine and one organic waste shredder machine," he conveyed, Saturday (5/8).

BSR 07 Director, as well as RT 07 Head, Agus Suharto said, his side usually weighs waste from customers on every Thursday. The collected waste which consist of plastic bottle, cardboard, paper, and others are weighed with minimum weight of 300 kilograms.

"Not only waste, but we also collect about 50 liters used cooking oil every week," he added.

Activities in BSR 07 are expected to reduce waste which disposed to Bantar Gebang Landfill, while maintaining environment cleanliness and preventing environmental pollution with used cooking oil.
